Toit, Bangalore
There are countless reasons why Toit’s popularity is legendary. Located at 100 feet Rd, Indira Nagar- Toit is- if not the first but definitely the most premier, unrivalled and unparalleled brew-pub in the city of Bangalore. This brewpub is a throwback to the beer-ale-pub culture which has taken the city by storm. The ambience is flamboyant- the interior decor is stunning and visually arresting. It goes without saying- they have several gigantic beer tanks- some on display and the others are in a temperature-controlled room. Toit is about 3-storeys high (quite a huge outlet) yet the waiting time for a table could be anything between 20-45 mins on a normal day) and hours on a weekend. Fortunately, you do have the option to walk up to the bar and start sending beers until a table is available. Before I go into my review, I’d like to tell you that you can register for their brewery tour which is held on the first Saturday of every month and is priced at INR 600 + taxes (which includes beer samples, food pairing, certificate & a T-shirt). Now, each tour has a limit of about 20 people so, ensure to register well in advance.

Toit offers six variants of malty, spicy, aromatic (I can go on and on about it), fantastic beer (ranging from light to deep, roasty flavors).
1) Basmati Blonde – medium-light to light body.
2) Tintin Toit – smooth and light.
3) Toit Weiss – medium-light to medium body.
4) Colonial Toit – medium-light to medium-full body.
5) Toit Red – my personal favourite- medium-bodied and a pleasant aroma.
6) Dark Knight – full-bodied, medium brown to black in colour.
*Details about the beer have been summarised from their website*
You can order the sampler set which will have 90 ml of all the six ales on offer. Pick one (or many) and continue gulping for the rest of the day/night.
I cannot picture beer without a few lip-smacking appetisers and so, we ordered quite a few of them and all were cooked brilliantly and were extremely flavorful.
Toit baked nachos (add chicken for another 50 bucks)
– Swedish Meatballs with a unique Cranberry Sauce
– Mushroom bites
– Beef Skewers
Toit is also known for their wood-fired pizzas and we tried the,
– Artichoke and Sun dried Tomato Pizza
– BBQ Chicken Pizza
For dessert we ordered the Toit special-
Rich, dark chocolate layered cake with ice cream and cream- Boy, this was heavenly!
I’m unable to contain the excitement, that I visited Toit, finally!! I’ve been thinking about doing this for a very long time. At the time these pictures were clicked, it was my first visit to a brewpub but since then I have visited other popular brewpubs in Bangalore (a few still remain). I can confidently say that this is the best brewpub I have visited till date. Do checkout some of the souvenirs they have for sale- stickers, mugs, t-shirts, fridge magnets. The wordings on some of them are just hilarious- ‘100% SOBER FREE’, ‘0 TO HORNY IN 2.5 BEERS’ and many on the same lines. Toit is truly a synonym for a superior brewpub experience. I’m sure many who have visited Bangalore must have landed here almost instantly but this is for those who haven’t been to Toit – You Gotta Gulp ‘n’ Munch here!
